Bahamian Authorities Investigate Plane Crash

Nassau, 13 Nov (Prensa Latina) The Bahamian authorities revealed that the four deceased in the recent plane crash which occurred in the city of Freeport, were American.

Last Sunday November 10th, the aircraft identified as a Cirrus SR22, with only one engine, crashed soon after taking off in the Grand Bahama International Airport.

A press release issued by the Department of Civil Aviation reported that until that moment the nationality of the deceased- two men and two women- remained unknown.

The aircraft, which was performing a flight of local tourism in the Freeport zone, started to experience problems and crashed approximately seven kilometers north of the Freeport Control Tower, according to reports of that day.

Teams of civil aviation together with the police continue the investigations with the aim of clarifying the causes of the accident.
