Dialogs for Water and Climate Change: Call to action
Dialogs for Water and Climate Change: Call to action. National Water Commission of Mexico. 2010.
The Dialogs for Water and Climate Change (D4WCC) were a series of 30 different activities held in Cancun, Mexico in December 2010, brought together in an associated event during the 16th Conference of the Parties (COP 16) to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC). Called for by the international development community, the D4WCC sought the formal recognition and consideration of water resources in the climate change debate, but more than simply requesting support, clearly demonstrated that the water community is already organizing itself to deal with the growing impacts of climate change on water resources, not in a hypothetical future, but in the here and now.
