Research projects in course.

1.     Contact patterns relevant to the spread of close contact disease in Camagüey, Cuba

The goal of this research is to evaluate if this method is adequate for in large population surveys in order to find valuable information on the rates and patterns of mixing that may influence the spread of infectious diseases to improve the current models of airborne infectious disease transmission. 

2.      Implementing of mathematical models in the Epidemiology.

The objective of this research is to improve the current models of analysis and prediction in Epidemiology to support decision making.

     3.    The patients safety in a local hospital focused on complex system.

The goal of this research proposal is to implement techniques from complexity research  to improve patient safety in a local hospital. .  Using questionnaire surveys conducted on health care professionals and post-discharge patients from a hospital in Camaguey, Cuba, a validated scale to evaluate patient safety status will be produced.
