Japan on with Nuclear Energy in the Immediate Future
Tokyo, Dec 20 (Prensa Latina) Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, said today that in the immediate future nuclear energy will retain an important place within the country''s electricity generation.
According to Abe, renouncing to nuclear fission for energy will reduce the quality of life of the Japanese, while would cause noticeable damage by the lack of stable and cheap electricity supply. The 50 nuclear plants in Japan are not in operation for fear of accident similar to that occurred in Fukushima March 11, 2011 by an earthquake and tsunami.
For this reason, the government turned to other variants to maintain the necessary level of power generation, but the cost of these operations has put in crisis to the treasury.
This factor is exacerbated by the difficult Japanese economy, which tax debt doubles the GDP and a there is not a short-term solution, despite various measures taken to leave the wrong time.
Hence Abe's statement that the country will continue to rely on nuclear reactors and decisions that have been made to accelerate the recovery of some electro atomic plants, including Fukushima.
