Caracas, Jan 14 (Prensa Latina) The Venezuelan Foundation for Seismological Research (FUNVISIS) registered today a 2.6 magnitude earthquake on the open-ended Richter scale, detected at a maritime zone near Sucre state.

According to the agency, the earthquake was located at 32 kilometers south of Guiria and 39 kilometers southeast of Irapa.

Meanwhile, the epicentre of the telluric movement detected at 07:12 hours was located at 5-kilometers deep.

In that region, FUNVISIS informed of a 2.8 magnitude earthquake yesterday, and another occurred on Saturday of 3.3 magnitude on the Richter scale.
