"Leaders trust on the future of relationships between Cuba and Ukraine"

The head of the Ukrainian presidential administration Dimitri Tabashnik said today that he trusted on the future of the relationships with Cuba on the basis of the feelings of respect between the peoples of both countries.

In welcoming the Cuban first vice-minister of the foreign trade Germán Amado Blanco, Tabashnik reiterated the admiration for the Cuban people and government by population sections and official circles of this nation, and thanked the significant solidarity extended by Cuba in the treatment of children affected by the Chernobyl accident.

The Cuban delegation fulfilled a wide program in the context of the first session of the inter-governmental commission held in this capital, with the objective of stimulating the economic links and the scientific/technical cooperation between both nations.

A press release of the diplomatic mission of the island given to Prensa Latina press agency indicated that Amado-Blanco and his delegation were received by vice Prime Minister Piotr Sabluk and the vice-head of the Ukrainian parliament Oleg Diumen and the respective ambassadors of both nations Sergio López and Olexandr Taranenko were also present in those meetings.
