The delegations of Cuba and Ukraine gathered at the Third Session of the Intergovernmental Joint Commission, gave yesterday afternoon the final touches to the protocol to be initialed today, as well as the agreement of the Ministries of Science and Technology, and progress was made in development of the legal basis for bilateral economic development.

Ministers of Health, Carlos Dotres, in Cuba, and Andrei Serdiev of Ukraine, held several working meetings, while the specialists of both country-checked over the specific aspects of various areas of cooperation.

The most significant object of analysis and perspectives of collaboration relate to the medical-pharmaceutical industry and drug market, railways, energy, science and technology, bilateral trade and others. The Ukrainian delegation will visit in the early morning today the center of attention to children affected by the Chernobyl nuclear disaster, and who receive care at Tarara, in the east of Havana.
