Selection of patients
Patient selection criteria:
•Children aged 5 to 15 years from areas affected by the accident.
•A Cuban physician selects the patients from those cases sent by different health institutions including visits to be paid to other provinces. All the cases should have the certificate which proves that they were affected by the Chernobil accident.
•A commission made up of our physician, Young Fund officials and Ministry of Health authorities in Ukraine will approve the final listing of patients who will fly to Cuba to be treated, in pursuant to the criteria set by the Program.
