About us


This site is a joint effort of the National Medical Sciences Information Center (CNICM, Infomed) and Tarará Paediatric Hospital, both of which are part of the Cuban National Health System.

It was created with the purpose of fostering assistance to children from areas affected by the Chernobyl nuclear accident and from other countries where similar accidents have occurred, as well as disseminating the experience of Cuban professionals from the various specialties included in the Program.

It is also intended to display the main scientific results obtained, and the relentless and almost anonymous work carried out by physicians and health professionals ever since the Cuban Comprehensive Medical Care Program for Children Affected by the Chernobyl Accident was started.
